It’s well known in the wine industry that Jay-Z has an excellent palate and enjoys some of the best wines of the world. He started out mostly signing about Cristal and Hennesey but his palate has evolved to like the finer wines of life. He’s also part owner of Armand de Brignac Champagne; which he purchased after being disrespected by Cristal. In On to the Next One he address the controversy directly with the lyrics:
