White Wine Sangria
White wine sangria is a variation of traditional sangria made from red wine. For white wine sangria, the modifications are endless. This recipe calls for apple cider and hard cider. This will give it the fullest, most complex character. You can substitute apple juice and brandy just as well. Add seasonal fruit as well like peaches, strawberries, apricots, or blueberries. Soak fruit for a couple of hours in the hard cider if you have time. This recipe is party size; adjust your portions to suit your needs. Make a mini version for any leftover white wine you have. Ingredients
- 2 Apple (Cored and cut into small pieces)
- 2 Lemons (1 cut into small pieces, the juice of the other)
- ½ lb Additional Seasonal Fruit (Optional) (Peaches, apricots, strawberries, oranges, bananas)
- 1½ Cups Hard Apple Cider
- 1 Liter Unfilitered Apple Cider
- 1 Bottle Dry White Wine
- 1 Cup Ginger Ale
- 1 Orange (Optional) Cut into wedges for garnish
- 1 Handful Mint (Optional) For garnish
Instructions
- Place fruit and the juice of one lemon in a pitcher. Muddle lightly to release juices.
- Add Hard Apple Cider.
- Add Cider, White wine, and Ginger Ale.
- Stir, serve over ice with orange wedge or mint for garnish.
