The French 75 is one sexy cocktail. I don’t know what it is, the Champagne flute, the instances in pop culture, or maybe it’s the combination of my two favorite things- Champagne and gin!

French 75
The French 75 is an iconic cinematic cocktail. It's the drink of choice in Casablanca. This cocktail enjoyed popularity throughout France and eventually made it's way over to the other side of Atlantic. Four simple ingredients: gin, simple syrup, lemon juice, and Champagne. Again, any sparkling wine will do. Be gently with this cocktail, a French 75 is known to get ya a bit drunker before you expect it.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
- Champagne coupe or flute
Ingredients
- 30 ml Gin
- 15 ml Lemon juice
- 15 ml Simple syrup
- 40 ml Champagne
Instructions
- Shake up the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Pour into a coupe or a flute.
- Top up with Champagne.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
