New Age Wine by Casa Bianchi is one of the most popular wines from Argentina worldwide. It’s also the main ingredient to the most refreshing and popular summer cocktail in Argentina; the Tincho. The Argentina cocktail is named after the owner of Casa Bianchi, Valentin Eduardo Bianchi, who is credited for inventing the Tincho cocktail. The classic Tincho is a very simple cocktail but I’ve created 6 more recipe variations for white wine cocktails all year long.
What is New Age White Wine?
The very cool label on New Age wines has likely caught your eye at your local grocery store. It’s a low-alcohol (9% ABV), naturally sweet, slightly effervescent white wine. New Age white wine is 90% Torrontes and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. Even though it’s very inexpensive, Casa Bianchi still maintain sustainable practices in the San Rafael wine region of Argentina. There is no sugar added; it’s made semi-sweet by stopping fermentation and allowing for some residual grape sugars to remain.

What is a Tincho?
The story goes that owner, Valentin Eduardo “Tincho” Bianchi, poured New Age white wine over ice and squeezed a lime on it on a hot summer day and the Tincho cocktail was born. The semi-sweet wine is light and perfect in the hot summer sun.
